Description & Tasting Notes Grana Padano is an Italian classic from Northern Italy, crafted with centuries of tradition and precision. It’s often thought to be ‘the same’ as Parmigiano Reggiano, however it does have its own unique character and flavour. Appellation rules state that it must be made from raw milk and aged for a minimum of nine months before being graded and approved for sale – although ours is aged for 18 months to develop a richer flavour with a more pronounced bite and firmer, slightly crumbly texture with crunchy tyrosine crystals throughout.Other Notes & Serving Suggestions A versatile all-rounder cheese that’s at home on antipasti boards or in recipes. Shave into rocket and pear salads, use it to top woodfired pizza and pasta, or in baked dishes like gratins. With a slightly milder flavour than Reggiano, it is better suited to more delicate dishes. It’s also delicious to nibble anytime, or simply serve a chunk as a quick aperitivo bite. Pair with Sangiovese, Barbera, dry Prosecco or even Semillon-Sauvignon Blanc. Grana Padano also matches will with most beers and less-peaty styles of whisky.Note: made with Lysozyme from egg.Region: Mantua & Brescia, Italy Milk: Unpasteurised Cow Rennet: Animal Size: 200g portions, sold by the kg
