Description & Tasting Notes Fourme d’Ambert is named after the town of Ambert in the region of Augvergne where it’s made. Don’t be fooled by the prominent pockets of blue mould – it’s actually quite mild, with a balanced earthy flavour and a smooth creamy, buttery finish. It’s made in a unique cylinder shape (a very old cheese-making practice in this region), which gives it a distinctive shape on cheeseboards. Airfreighted for superior freshness.Other Notes & Serving Suggestions This is a great choice for people who prefer a milder style blue vein cheese. It can be enjoyed on platters before or after dinner – serve with fruit bread and honey or dried muscatels. Because it’s mild and quite buttery, it’s very wine friendly – pairing well with sparkling, fruity red varietals, white wines with a touch of sweetness and ports.Region: Auvergne, France Milk: Pasteurised Cow Rennet: Animal Size: approx 2kg cylinder, sold as a whole unit, priced by the kg
