Description & Tasting Notes An experience for the senses! A unique semi-matured cheese made whole, pasteurised buffalo milk and encrusted with crushed black peppercorns. This is a full-flavoured cheese with a pronounced bite and lingering complex spicy note that’s balanced by the richness of the buffalo milk which contributes undertones of sweet cream and butter, subtle fresh herbs and a hint of umami. Under the black pepper crust, the interior is compact, slightly grainy and has small, regular holes. From the Barlotti Agricultural Company – a dedicated buffalo dairy and cheesery based within the Cilento national park, declared a world heritage site by UNESCO.Other Notes & Serving Suggestions Thanks to its intense peppery flavour, this cheese is suited to platters and recipes.
