Description & Tasting Notes A celebration of Autumnal flavours! Caprotto al Zucca is a firm goat’s cheese coated with powdered dried pumpkin. It has a smooth, balanced taste with zesty flavours of goat’s milk on the mid palate, a subtle sweetness imparted by the pumpkin encrusted rind and an aromatic aroma with tones of flowers and roasted hazelnuts. Casa Madaio are artisan cheese-makers and affineurs. Their cheeses are aged in caves located in the National Park of Cilento and Vallo of Diano, and have been used by the family to mature cheese for 4 generations.Other Notes & Serving Suggestions With its striking yellow rind, this cheese is a beautiful addition to cheese platters – serve with fig jam, acacia honey or pumpkin and thyme preserve. It can also be shaved onto pasta and into mixed leaf salads or be served with antipasti – goat’s cheese works particularly well with olives and grilled vegetables like zucchini.
