Description & Tasting Notes Winner of the best aged cheese in the Italian Cheese Awards 2024, Montelupo is made with milk from cows grazing on the lush mountain pastures of the Lessini mountains north of Verona. The wide variety of alpine flowers and herbs in the pastures give the cheese a unique and full flavour, which further intensifies during a 24-month maturation – developing a robust bite while retaining subtle milk and cream flavours on the long, lingering finish. Under the tough leathery natural rind, the interior is almost rock hard and a beautiful golden yellow colour.
