Description & Tasting Notes A unique semi-hard cheese made with whole, pasteurised buffalo milk and soaked in Aglianico Passito Rosso – a red dessert wine. This is a marriage of flavours – rich, buffalo milk cheese with notes of sweet cream, lactic salted butter and a subtle herbaceous note in harmony with the concentrated floral, red fruit flavours of the wine. The wine-soaking during maturation creates a moist, crumbly texture that melts in the mouth and a striking appearance with some crimson veins throughout. From the Barlotti Agricultural Company – a dedicated buffalo dairy and cheesery based within the Cilento national park, declared a world heritage site by UNESCO.Other Notes & Serving Suggestions Serve this cheese after dinner with a glass of full-bodied red wine such as Passito Rosso or Barolo.
