In the middle ages, castles typically had woods nearby for nobility to hunt and frolick in, known as a “Tapada.” “Ganhões” were very poor migrant farm workers who the nobility would not want in their Tapada, so this wine is Granadeiro's way of offering exclusivity to everyone. Do not be fooled by its lower end price-tag, as this is a red wine with bundles of character: garnet in colour with violet reflections, aromatic notes of red fruit on the nose. Lively, and fruity on the tongue with a soft and round lingering finish. A superb accompaniment with stews, roast lamb, grilled meat, or even on a simple night of debates with friends and family.
