Instructions for use: give freely, soak it briefly in clean water, in combination with fresh berries. Tips: For a gradual transition to the new food, follow the table attached to the package. Preparatory phase : For small bird species (canaries, exotic finches, British finches, parakeet brands) it is recommended to start by preparing for the food change. Birds are not forced to eat pellets, but are trained to recognize them as one of the elements of their food. In 2 – 3 weeks, they get the usual seed mixture to which 10% pellets are added. For large and medium parrots, this preparation phase is not necessary. Switch : The birds receive only pellets throughout the period, without mixing with seeds. On certain days (see table) seeds are given to eat at will. The periods of feeding only pellets are gradually increased so that the birds get used to eating more of them. “Seed days” are included to prevent the birds from losing a lot of weight and to recover the energy they lost during “pellet days”. General advice: only do a food change when birds are in good health. Do not go directly to pelleted food in newly purchased birds. Be careful and watch your birds well.
